My name is Teiana and I am the owner of The Pointy Dog Photography. I grew up in New Hampshire my whole life and have always worked with animals. I started my passion for photography at a young age photographing my mother showing our horses at local fairs. As I grew older I always looked for any chance to be with animals and learn more about them. In high school I was a member of the Seacoast School Of Technology chapter of the Future Farmers Of America. I then went forward and worked in the veterinary medicine industry and equine care while completing my degree at SNHU for digital photography. Together I combine my experience with animals and passion for photography to provide safe and comfortable sessions for both owners and their beloved pets. I currently own two rescue cats Pickles & Egg, Marty my border collie and four chickens. When not working or taking photos I enjoy training with Marty for sports events, watching my chickens or scouting new session locations.
Marty is my red and white border collie that was born in November 2023. After growing up with labs, pitties and German shepherds I got my first personal dog of my own. I have had a love for this working breed since I first saw the movie Babe and never stopped hoping to have my own one day. This little red pointy dog has become the light of my life. He is always down to help me scout new locations and tag along for the ride anytime. When not helping me in the office you can find him dock diving with Seacoast Dock Dogs at local events!
When I was younger one of my favorite things to do was to take the many bins of photo prints my mom kept in her closet and look at every single image. There was photos of our first house, my sister and I as babies and birthday parties. All major milestones in our lives. Each and every one of those images included our dog, cat or horses. They were just as much as a part of those moments as we were. Later in life and years of working in horse barns, vet clinics and fostering for a local non-profit cat rescue I saw the good, the bad, the beautiful and the ugly. Many times I was left questioning why things happen, why good dogs get sick and wondering how to capture the good times for others so they could find the same happiness in those memories as I do. We go through and document many stages in our lives and our pets are always right there with us supporting us and I want to help put them in the spotlight they deserve.
